Zagreus sits inside your head,
Zagreus lives among the dead,
Zagreus sees you in your bed,
And eats you when you're sleeping

Fascinated and inspired by the amoral divine freebooter Dionysos, Tanz*Hotel sets out on the trail, leading it back to the mythical tradition and to the present disguises of its eternal, vagabonding protagonist Zagreus / Dionysos. A mirror(reflection) bursts: dismemberment, dissipation fragmentation and motivates an imaginary expedition, which unearths grotesque and irritating, paradoxical and poetical discoveries.
The trio multiplies the fragmentation. A fictitious ethnological puzzle, which needs being rejoined together into an entire complex. But its reintegration produces hybrid creatures halfway between human beings and beasts or robots, which playfully transform the species borderlines. Bert Gstettner choreographs a ritual world of high artificiality, to which the natural still adheres as a kind of primary matter.
