For weeks they where working on their new choreographies/performances. The final showings will take place at the studio, they symbolizes the end of the projects. We invite you to the presentation:

Pi

Concept, Performance: Cat Jimenez
Sound: SIMP x STSK (Dusty Crates, Vienna)
Mentoring, Costume advice (T*H wardrobe): Bert Gstettner

Pics: Ina Aydogan

Pi is the first episode about the topic of isolation. Beginning from the cell, the body part, to the isolated space. Pi has no awareness of it’s existence. Without direct awareness of the audience, the past or the future and a lack of human understanding Pi will embark upon a journey growing with its surroundings, slowly defragmenting its isolation.

Ambivalent Unity is a juggling performance, which highlights a unique idiom of juggling rather than a circus-like spectacle. To define this idiom, throws are combined with dance moves. The body and the object are starting points: The object is dependent on the body and forms temporary units with it time and again until it breaks out and prompts (or forces?) the body to move. What happens if the performer is met with several objects? Using the themes of unity and separation, the spectators’ expectations are played with; the variety of objects continuously creates new images.

Loss Memory
Concept, Choreography, Performance: Sara De Santis
Music, Performance: Christian Schratt
Projections, Body Mapping: Emanuel Andel
Mentoring: Bert Gstettner

Loss Memory is a dance, music and media performance about physical pain and the chance to lose its memory.
A human’s spinal chord acts also as the "archive" of all the physical pain one has ever felt. Part of one’s education involves remembering pain in order not to inflict it again on themselves ( not touching a hot stove, being careful when using a carving knife...). It seems we remember pain in order to learn how to avoid detrimental behaviors. If one day one’s nerves stopped archiving pain memories, they would lose the capacity to protect their body from injuries.

Quetschn
Performance, Concept: Patric Redl
Rehearsal visit: Bert Gstettner

Pic: Christian König
In Quetschn Patric Redl deals, together with a Styrian accordion, with the physical and musical act of compression. In the interplay between the body and the instrument, the sound is influenced by a physical change, while the movement of the body is shaped through sound. Movement and sound are guided by the principles of electro-acoustic sound processing, the physical act of playing the instrument and the current conditions of the room.
