PROJECT 1

Point Fix
Concept, Performance: Alberto Cissello
Mentoring: Bert Gstettner

Photos: Hanna Fasching for T*H AAR Term 23 | Bildrecht, 2024

Point Fix is a choreographic soliloquy that reflects on the experience of silence in the performance space and its impact on the relationship between me, the audience, and the theatrical space. Legendary mime artist Marcel Marceau speaks of the effect of theatrical action in silence as creating a "suspension of the soul that echoes thought." During my research process at Tanz*Hotel, I am looking to connect with the essence of mime theater, developing a contemporary performance language that uses theatrical silence as an element of resonance, comedy, awkwardness, and bareness. Through Point Fix, I am interested in perceiving what presence and action in silence triggers, how it is sensed and what reflections it provokes in our contemporary times.

Alberto Cissello is a dance artist based in Vienna. As a performer he collaborated with companies and choreographers such as EgriBianco Danza, Oper Graz Tanzkompanie, Norrdans, cieLaroque/Helene Weinzierl, Eva-Maria Schaller and Daphna Horenczyk. In 2019 he co-founded the duo debocs together with Martina De Dominicis. Their works have been showcased at Zagreb Dance Center, BASE Milano, Theater im Ballsaal Bonn, and the tanz_house festival Salzburg 2020. Alberto has taught workshops for Tanzquartier Wien, MUK, Internationale Bühnenwerkstatt, Divadlo Štúdio Tanca, tanzimpulse Salzburg, Universidad Nacional de Heredia, and PlayPractice Artistic Residency. He currently holds a Master of Arts in "Movement Research" obtained at the Anton Bruckner Private University. He continues to explore the intersection of contemporary dance practice and theory through the activities of BACKPULVER - an initiative he co-founded and which is based on artistic peer-to-peer knowledge transfer.

PROJECT 2

i want to be delicious for the bear
Concept, Performance: Agnes Schneidewind
Sound: Marta Forsberg
Dramaturgy: Robert Steijn
Mentoring: Andrea Nagl

Photos: Hanna Fasching for T*H AAR Term 23 | Bildrecht, 2024

i want to be delicious for the bear is a performative setting inspired by bodily experiences of darkness. the poem "anrufung des großen bären" by ingeborg bachmann unfolds in space. the dance is a preparation for the night, in which memories of an ice cave and conversations with the bear appear and perform for the dream. the project is part of an artistic research in collaboration with the unconscious on the potential of poetry for a physical, collective and fear-free experience of darkness.

Agnes Schneidewind works with dance, text and visual media based on dream and somatic practices as well as craniosacral therapy. She questions drawing and writing as performative instruments, (re-)searches (collective) work processes, bodies and the unconscious as poetic (and responding) landscapes. She co-creates experimental formats and performances, most recently "through which they have wandered" (2022), which was co-produced by brut Wien. In 2017, she completed the post-master's programme a.pass (advanced performance and scenography studies) in Brussels.

PROJEKT 3

Curriculum Vitae
Concept, Direction: Loulou Omer / Ode et encore
Dance, Music, Text, Performance: Loulou Omer, Alan Picol | Dramaturgy: Tal Omer | Sounddesigner: Gustavo Petek | Assistant: Ruggero Manucci

Photos: Hanna Fasching for T*H AAR Term 23 | Bildrecht, 2024

Curriculum Vitae is a transdisciplinary project that attempts to capture the movement of time and its various paths through life stories. With a touch of self-irony, Loulou Omer, together with the performers, wants to poetically connect dance, music, song and words, exploring and testing their coexistence. These discursive encounters and movements, open to harmony and dissonance, are understood as a poetic source of creative power and the resulting choreography.

Loulou Omer Choreographer, musician and poet, born in Tel-Aviv, she lives and works in Europe and is currently based in Vienna. She begins as a dancer-choreographer creating solos and group dance-pieces. Later, she engages herself into writing, composing and singing and develops a specific poly-artistic approach, named Choreography of a Sound-Poetry, inter-relating these artforms into Performative formats. Awards: first Prize for young choreographers à Pantin (Paris). Poetry prize of Exil-Literaturpreis 2021, Vienna.
