An installation-based performance reflecting experiential spaces of people perceived as female. From this perspective, two bodies feel their way through the multilayered tensions within. A web of female perspectives and constantly shifting realities emerges. It is a struggle for space, for the possibility of taking on physical form at all, amid societal expectations. The struggle feels like a constant noise. Between madness and clarity, Hanna Schaar and Céline Weigt open up a territory in which resistance becomes an absurdly poetic act. They serve as resonant spaces for one another, as extensions of each other’s bodies—distinct yet porous in their boundaries. Moving through norms, through densities, through the unspoken, they create a cartography of pressure, departure, and twitching self-assertion.

We see one another and are seen. Perception is processed, categorized and evaluated in the brain. In their new piece "BLUSH" Caterina Vögel and Hannah Zauner explore the desire to be seen and the insecurities that come with it. The performers examine their personal relationship to feelings of shame. Dance, music and text merge into a concert performance that emphasizes the impact of gazes, the nuances of laughter and ways of coping with shame.

Enrique[ta] Favez is a historical figure living in the 19th century with an extremely powerful life story – marked by intense struggles, misunderstanding, and suffering – while reflecting courage, resilience and love – a figure that ongoingly provokes reflections and transmissions.

Born around 1791 in Lausanne [Switzerland] Enrique[ta] Favez studied medicine using the male name and identity of Enrique Favez. Practicing in Cuba, Favez married a woman named Juana de León. After their identity was revealed, a brutal legal trial followed, leading to the expulsion from the country, after which Favez settled in New Orleans continuing to live under the name of Sor Magdalena as part of a Franciscan religious order.

Today, there are diverse and diverging readings of the story and figure of Favez. zone[27] will reveal fragments of Favez in transit through bodies – sounds – dimensions – affects – places – spaces – times.
