WIND*DANCE

Bert Gstettner | Performance
 Duration 10-20 min (flexible composition)

„Studies for Wind*Instruments“ originally created as an outdoor performance, follows his tryouts with the large wing costume of 2019 under the motto: "let the wind blow through your heart!".

There is a desire to play with wind and movement, as well as creating a stage, which works independently of all surroundings, led Gstettner to build this large-scale costume. For him, the material becomes an instrument of movement: swinging wings, waves, serpentines - an aerodynamic improvisation. Dancers were already experimenting and choreographing with ideas like this over a hundred years ago. His dance is a homage to one of the great pioneers of modern dance, Loie Fuller.
